Born and bred in Dublin, Ireland, I've lived in the East Midlands for over 20 years. My recently refurbished basement studio is filled with yarns, sketchbooks and sample swatches ready to be made up into gorgeous throws, blankets and cushions for interiors.
I mostly knit with 100% lambswool but like to play around with shetland and aran aswell.
I'm inspired by the windswept and craggy coastline of the west coast of Ireland in particular but am generally inspired by wild coastlines and the flora and fauna that inhabit that landscape.
I mix my traditional knitting techniques also with designs for digital textile printing and wall coverings to create unique designs for cosy and warm inviting spaces.
This website sets out to run along side my final degree show and will explain the inspiration, techniques and processes that underpin my work.
